In this video Stephen R. Covey first tells us why he started his research. He tells us that he started his research many years ago and through out his research he saw a pattern where for the first 120 years the books he read where mainly focused on how to be something, rather then how to appear to do something, which according to what his research says changed after those 120 years. he then continues to tell us this thoughts on it and explains to us why he thinks this is wrong. He thinks that we should build a foundation on trust and work our way from there. he also says that we should work on being good from the inside out. and that is how he came about his 7 habits of highly effective people.
